Wow, that's a very well done airbrush job! I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into that.

Maybe the VW owner is converting his into a schwimmwagen.

May be like this "Boatswagen" which does not float...

I know everyone dances to the beat of their own drummer but if you were going to go to all that trouble, how could you not make it float? I feel like they've broken a law of nature in doing that.

This looks like it was able to perform in the way you expect from looking at it:

That's what it reminded me of as well. Used to go to these races when I was a kid:

so you've actually seen guys like Leonard Chesser, Terry Langford, and David Sims. 8-)
somewhere around here iv got a tape from the late 80's with swamp buggy racing on it. which is where i heard this! the unofficial swamp buggy anthem

To be honest, I was too young to appreciate the celebrities of the races. My two favorite things were watching the buggies die in the dreaded sippy hole of death and walking through the pits and seeing the buggies and jeeps close up. I wanted to drive one when I grew up and remember seeing that sometimes fans would get to go for a ridealong and hoping with all my might that one of the drivers of the Jeeps would just be like, "Hey, wanna go for a ride?"

We still use this type of handcart these days! :D
The "state-of-the-art" pneumatic tires make it much more comfortable... ;)
