Many fantastic examples of the song I've never heard of and had to look up the wiki page for :)
Tonight's video is from learning that Kim Thayil took months to learn the riff while Chris Cornell had no issue playing it while singing.

I've never seen that video so I never knew that the keyboardist thought he was Stevie Wonder. Oddly, Only Tony Lewis was credited with keyboards for the band on their wiki page and that definitely wasn't Tony Lewis. Perhaps the band thought they just needed one for the video?
A great song and I had a nostalgic hit-you-in-the-feelers thing go on when I heard it. A great pick.
^^^ 8-)
Quite cool and new to me. To bad not available on wax (yet).
Wow, never heard of the band either but a very interesting take on 3 chord blues song structure. It's impressive when a band can make something sound interesting in such a tightly controlled song structure. He's also got a very unique voice which I think makes the song pretty great on it's own.
MMMBop:
Accompanied by Jack Conte's disappearing hairline:
Pop-punk remains radio friendly:
Barbershop quartet:

^^^ The Scary Pockets version is brilliant!
Currently listen to "The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live At Madison Square Garden".
Not at MSG but anyway...
For some strange reason the above song reminds me of this 1980 classic...
Definitely one of his more interesting songs and Sina is such a great drummer. A fantastic combination. And she was wearing the proper attire! :)

One of the first cassettes I got for my boom box.
That's Hair Metal isn't it?
Although not quite my cup of tea by now it reminds of these two albums
which were amongst the first few records I purchased back then.
Mötley Crüe were a real smash. :D
That Motley Crue album was played a lot. I don't remember even registering what hair metal craze was at the time, I just remember listening to songs like those and wanting so bad to own a drum set and electric guitar. I think I was just too young to even register what the craze was actually about; cod pieces and gallons of hair spray.
i know 80's metal takes a lot of shit. but it was pretty damn good. if only it hadn't taken a back seat to the glam/hair schtick.
I was stationed in Okinawa and on a long weekend, we were allowed to take a bus to an Air Farce base to relax a bit. Before heading to the club, I stopped at their BX and purchased Pork Soda, my first time hearing Primus. It was a game changer.
